Ventura Homes
The land on which Ventura homes stand is one that is rich in history. Long before properties in this area were as sought after as they are today, this area was pristine and untouched. Still maintaining its charm after all these years, the city of Ventura has a strong connection to its past and yet is unafraid to venture towards the future.
The rise of Ventura real estate and the population of the area can be attributed to Father Junipero Serra who founded the Mission San Buenaventura way back in 1782. Named for Saint Bonaventure, the city, as of late, has been known simply as Ventura.
It wasn't until after the American Civil War that Ventura started having a larger population base. Even then, the population did not boom as the city was not easy to get to. Officially incorporated in 1866, Ventura retained its tranquility and rural feel for a number of decades. However, with visionaries like Thomas Bard, who was the president of the Union Oil Company, and the citrus farmers who later on formed the company Sunkist, Ventura grew and flourished.
Ventura is a city with immense potential and so much going for it. If you are interested in making one of the Ventura homes your very own, all you have to do is give Nate Minkel a call today at (805) 794-9588.
